Proxy server support in API Connect v2018

Using APIC 2018.4.1.10 on VMware in an on-premise environment, we are encountering connectivity issues towards external dependencies.
It's a corporate policy to route all traffic requiring Internet access through a central proxy. This requires APIC to pass the corporate proxy for any outbound connection.
We tried to configure these proxy settings at the machine level but unfortunately, it didn't work.
Each time APIC tries to establish an outbound connection an internal server error (ECONNREFUSED) is thrown.
After some research together with IBM experts, we noticed that this is not supported in the latest version of APIC.

Via this RFE we would like to urge IBM to support proxy server settings in API Connect v2018.
