Idea / RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been held in Uncommitted Candidate / Future Consideration status. This enhancement request has been open since September 2012, and since then the product has evolved considerably. Significantly where this idea is concerned, the concept of configurable services in previous versions of IIB, was replaced with the policy concept in ACEv11. Policies are much more flexible than configurable services as they can be copied between integration servers and also deployed through BAR files. Against this background we give consideration to the suggestion ... *.configurableservice files were invented as an export format (pre-v11) whereby a user could use this file as a means of copying configurable service definitions from one node to another. As mentioned, this task is no longer needed given the architectural advancement into policies. Also, given the redesign of the administrative web UI (v10 used to use this file extension, v11 does not), and the deprecation of the mqsicreatconfigurableservice command, I'm sure it won't be a surprise that we don't intend to take this suggestion any further forward. We hope you agree that the product advancements mean there is no longer a need for this request but on the off-chance there is something further you would like to be considered in this space, please don't hesitate to create a new idea against the latest product level.

Thanks for raising this requirement; allowing the broker runtime to directly create the configurable service, rather than through the Message Broker Explorer is a good enhancement that we'll look to add into a future delivery.
