VMotion support is now official as of 10.0.1.4+ https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/datapower-gateway/10.0.1?topic=overview-whats-new

Added support for VMotion on VMware ESXi 7.0

The DataPower support is limited to ESXi host-migration in a cluster by using VMotion events, which can be configured either manually or by the scheduler support in VMware vCenter.

Hi there... we have several customers which use VMotion as an underlying technology for moving their DataPower VMs. As long as DP itself runs on a supported platform it is agnostic whether it is moved. Regards, Peter
